Good morning! We are off to a great start! From the program reports I get it looks like between swimming, and hot dogs and fireworks, nine students found time on a holiday to do some work in Study Island. We had one person do the Discovery Education Assignment and pass the quiz. Way to go Jaiden!
From what I can see, it looks like students are finding the Study Island Reading a bit more difficult than Study Island Math. That is about the same as I saw during the regular school year. It is a little hard for me as a teacher who is not right there with you to see if there is anything in particular about the reading lesson that are causing difficulty, so my best advice is to work carefully when doing the reading part and be sure to give it your best effort.
For those of you who voted in the poll question about how many students would register before July 4, you can in the widget see who voted for what now that the poll has closed . I will tell you that we have a total of 64 students (39 from Grade 3-4 and 25 from Grade 4-5). Look for another poll question later in the week.
And tell us what you are reading so we can put it in Shelfari!
Mr. Sokoloski
