Week 2 Starts! So, Where Was Mr. Sokoloski on Saturday?

Hello everyone!

Week 2 Activities have been posted. There have been some messages about problems with Discovery Education. It looks like the folks at Discovery have been making some changes in how teachers and students use the service. They do sometimes do this during the summer when most students are not using the service. I did check out our assignment and quiz for this week and they are working (I got 80% on the quiz! Wait a minute, I MADE that quiz, I should have done better!). Mrs. Hovorka and I will be following up on any remaining questions on Monday.

I have not been on top of every email because the last few days have been busy but very joyful for my family. On Saturday my oldest daughter, Sarah, got married to a wonderful guy, Bryan. I'll bet that some of you have had to chance to attend a wedding. For most kids it is kind of a long boring adult party. I will tell you it is very different when you are the father of the bride. It is a busy time with friends and relatives (some that you have not seen in a while) coming from everywhere to a party that you are responsible for throwing. It is also a very special time when two people in front of family and friends, pledge to love each other. It was a wonderful time for me and my family. As I write this on Sunday evening , I am very tired but very happy for Sarah and Bryan and I will catch up on any questions and emails tomorrow after a good night's sleep!
